MJBizCon, the annual conference hosted by MJBizdaily is a key event in the cannabis industry. Whether you're a cannabis entrepreneur, investor, or professional, this conference offers networking opportunities, educational sessions, and insights into the latest trends in the rapidly evolving cannabis space. This is year 13 for MJBizcon, so let’s check out what this year’s conference has in store.

Networking at MJBizCon

Of course, networking! MJBizCon attracts thousands of professionals from across our industry, creating a prime environment for networking. Attendees can meet industry leaders, potential business partners, investors, and customers. The vast array of exhibitors, panels, and social events provides ample opportunities to make valuable connections.

I’m excited about the new layout this year across the convention floor. MJBiz created distinct areas so attendees can maximize their time and efforts of where they need and want to be. There will be a Cultivation, Processing/Packaging/Lab Services, Business Center, Culture, and Retail/Dispensary areas.

Equity Row: Investing in Cannabis Social Justice

A very important and long overdue spot will be Equity Row this year! Several companies such as Tetragram, Prophet Brands, and the 1937 Group will be on Equity Row to connect and help businesses do more for the ongoing injustices in the cannabis industry. 40 Tons Brand will lead this group of amazing companies who are doing the hard work.

The All-Important Smoking Area at MJBizCon

A new addition to the networking side is The Patio, which will be located just outside the Retail Pavilion. Anyone who’s attended an MJBizCon before knows the entrance/smoking area of past conferences was a place to meet/sesh and really get to know people. Trust me, many great connections and deals were born there. This year it becomes The Patio, with an updated look, food trucks, music, and more. The Patio is officially part of the conference this year, so one will need a pass to access this area.

Another area for seshing and networking will be The Joint Lounge inside the Retail Pavilion. There will be panel discussions and experts from Ganjier and MITA, to name a few. The Ganjier Graduations and MJBiz Awards will also take place in The Joint. It’s nice to designate space for relaxing, getting a bite to eat, take a toke without having to leave the conference and convention center itself. You will still get all your steps in at MJBizcon.

The Emjay Awards

Let’s not forget the after-parties and the Emjays awards. The evenings of MJBizcon will test your endurance!

There is never a shortage of after-parties that draw the crowds. There are several per night, so deciding which, or how many to attend is up to you. This will be year two for the Emjay Awards, which will take place on Thursday evening at The Palms Hotel. An official part of the conference, the EMjays, produced by Farechild Events, will honor the best in the industry, voted on by the industry. With 20+ categories and a red carpet, you don’t want to miss it. The Palms Hotel will also host the Emjays after-party.

Lots of new events and changes this year for 2024 MJBizcon. Designated areas to help attendees be where they need to maximize their networking options. The Patio and The Joint Lounge will keep the vibes chill and offer a much-needed atmosphere to take a break during a long day of walking the convention halls.

MJBizCon attracts attendees from all over the world. Whether you’re seeking international partnerships or exploring global cannabis trends, the event provides opportunities for global collaboration and learning.

Attending MJBizCon can be a game-changer for cannabis industry professionals seeking to expand their networks, stay ahead of market trends, and discover the latest innovations. The networking opportunities, educational content, and exhibitor showcase provide substantial value, especially for those looking to grow their business or stay informed about industry developments.
