Breaking the ‘Curse’ of Menstruation: Celebrating a Woman’s Cycle with the Support of Cannabis
Written By Dr. Dana Lillestol, PhD
The miseducation, misinformation, and social programming have removed the beauty of a natural hormonal process of a woman that is life-giving. The time has come to celebrate the amazing biology of the female body, to support our female travelers on this road called life and to relish a woman’s ability to create life.
In tandem, marijuana as a unique plant provides healing properties to any mammal (women are mammals) yet this plant has been discredited and put in question. The propaganda has been very effective in hiding the truth.
How EOS Farms Breaks Boundaries with Cannabis Cultivated for Desired Effects
Written By Isabella DeChard
As rapidly as we’ve watched cannabis legalization unfold, the health and wellness industry has dramatically transformed its focus around the plant. From hemp-derived CBD to help with sleep disorders, or THC-isolated products promoting higher energy, the market is full of innovative products claiming to promote natural wellness. Yet despite the long history between cannabis and humans, we’re only scratching the surface of the health and wellness benefits the plant provides – especially as the scientific world attempts to measure and define these benefits more clearly.
Growing Up in a Cannabis Household: A Teenager's Perspective
Written by Lillian Eveland
I always knew she was involved in hemp. Still, besides seeing my brother get his CBD oil every day and knowing my mom medicated, her role in cannabis wasn't very apparent to me until I got older—maybe around 13 years old. That's when I realized my mom's activities were quite different from what my friends' moms were doing.

My First Experience in the Cannabis Industry
Written By Connor Cook
"I know I’m not alone when I say there’s no place I’d rather work. Even with the snakes, the cannabis community is still unmatched. It has to be. Competition is fierce, margins are tight, and there’s little room for error. People have to band together, and you’re seeing more and more examples of that every day.
If you’re thinking about getting into the cannabis industry, the time is now. It is in desperate need of talented individuals with a passion for the plant and community. We’re all living through history, and those who are brave enough to come out of the green closet have the opportunity to shape this industry for the better."
Genevieve's Journey: Cannabis and Dentistry for the Developmentally Disabled
Written By Mike Robinson
Today, we offer a nuanced perspective into the specific cannabinoids that benefit Genevieve, especially as she faces the challenges of upcoming oral surgery. This type of surgery is not usually easy for people with severe developmental delays.
It takes profound amounts of sedation to get her into that dentist chair, and then she must use the gas. She often will also take a nap while the professionals work. THC and CBD were particularly effective for her, whereas CBD initially did not yield the desired results.
Adopting Love: How Cannabis and Compassion Created My Family
Written By Mike Robinson
Many will say that a person doesn't have to be biological to be a father, which has always seemed like an odd statement until it became one of my own. Back in 2016, on the compassion trail where I traveled giving away Cannabis oils in copious amounts to patients in need, I came across Genevieve after her mom contacted me, and what's known as the Cannabis Love Story by many began.
When The Training Takes Over
Written By Jon Cory
I’m 5’8” in tall shoes and about 140 pounds. The speed limit is 55mph. I step into the middle of the five lanes and start waving my arms and motioning traffic to go around. Shared responsibility is NO responsibility. I point at drivers one at a time and get them moving away. At least I’m wearing a red shirt so they can see me better, and I note the irony. Yet I am still remarkably calm, with no triggers or anxiety attempting to convolute my responses.
Cannabis-based treatment for Atopic Dermatitis in dogs: A Brazilian Clinical Trial
Written By Andrea Harris
I felt my phone buzz in my pocket. It was a long day recalibrating the electromagnetic stirrers and making my weekly calls to suppliers. I felt my eyes roll as I slipped the mini-computer out of my pocket and unlocked the screen. It read, “WHAT AN AMAZING DAY, DON’T YOU THINK?”
My heart jumped into my throat as the author of the email came into sight. It was Carollina Mariga, our Veterinarian contact for the team of researchers in Brazil. We were currently in limbo and waiting for customs clearance to get our tinctures beyond the South American border and into the Federal University of Santa Maria.
UNBLURRING THE HAZE: CANNABIS & ADHD
Written By Deborah Agboola
The potential of cannabis for managing ADHD symptoms is certainly a “budding” topic.
We’ve heard and seen cases of people using cannabis to manage conditions such as pain, anxiety, depression, etc. But there are only a few instances of people reporting cannabis use for ADHD management.
A research survey to examine the effects of cannabis on ADHD was conducted in 2022. Many of the participants with ADHD who noted they had used cannabis reported seeing acute benefits for their symptoms, and even improvements with many of their medication side effects, like irritability and anxiety.
Cannabis offers ADHD-relevant benefits by stimulating cannabinoid receptors on specific brain cells. From the research into CBD and THC for ADHD symptoms, we’ve noted encouraging outcomes, and are now wondering, 'What other phytocannabinoids, major or minor, might be suitable for ADHD?'
The Warrior Spirit of Mike Robinson: Awakening Into Confusion
Written By Casey Renteria
In a blurry haze, Mike slowly came back. Even though his life seemed to have paused, his strong will could not. “I worked my way out of the hospital bed into a recliner that sat next to it.” The fog from the anesthesia was so heavy that when the nurse spoke to him, it was just a voice in the breeze.
“I had been injected with what I didn't want, but there was a true need. I was comfortably numb with the drugs they had supplied and Cannabis Oil.” The surgical oncologist came in right as Mike was putting away a syringe. The report came in. “There was conflicting data, so CT Scans and PET scans were being paired with the films of what he saw inside of me," Mike recalls. “My blood counts had dropped to 20% below the normal level.”
Florida’s Proposed Hemp Bill Impacts Us All
Written By Jenny Ball
The last several weeks we’ve seen Senate bill 1676 and House bill 1475 panic the hemp industry. These bills as written would effectively put tens of thousands of small business owners out of business.
We believe we can work with legislators to upgrade these bills to protect children and keep small businesses open. Most Hemp companies in the state of Florida are start-ups.The federal passing of the 2018 Farm Bill Act enabled small businesses, farmers, and companies like our own Siesta G to make a livelihood serving the community with this plant.
Hash Helped Me Heal
Written By Shelley Peebles
I remember the day I was sitting in my therapist’s office when I said, “I feel like he’s emotionally abusive. I don’t know if that’s a thing, but that’s what it feels like.” My therapist stopped and looked at me, eyes wide open. The next words out of her mouth hit me in the gut. “That’s because he is. And he will never change.”
I was diagnosed with PTSD as a result of a domestic violence incident. I knew I had to make a decision. Something needed to change. I needed my children to know that this was not a normal or healthy relationship, and I also needed to be in a better place. Mentally, I was not prepared for what unfolded.
What Can Cannabis Do For Your Dog?
Written by Andrea Harris
"You're gonna put cannabis in dog treats? How on earth is that going to work?" Dr. Rodgers asked me.
"Yeah, I mean obviously it won't be high in THC, but I know there has to be medicinal properties for dogs as well." I retorted as I pulled back on the plunger and the 3ml syringe began to fill with blood.
I never thought that I would go from those conversations to stopping by clinics that carry my full-spectrum hemp dog treats. I can't help but think back as I hear story after story about cannabis helping canines.
Much like our own system, your dog's endocannabinoid system produces its own endocannabinoids. In fact, it's more than just dogs. We all have a system that interacts with the compounds found in cannabis, now it's all about narrowing down what cannabinoids are beneficial to which ailments so we can tailor-make cannabis profiles for our furry, and not-so-furry friends.

Where Do All The Delta-8 Nugs Grow?
Written By Mike Robinson
By no means did the U.S. Congress create a bill for farmers so people in labs could convert cannabinoids under a loophole to market powerful quasi-cannabis items to people in states that have yet to legalize them. There are concerns far beyond the marketing to vulnerable consumers when it comes to semi-synthetic or completely synthetic creations made in labs to vie with the THC-focused cannabis market.
One of these lab conversions is known as Delta-8 THC, and it has hit the nation hard with so many different hemp companies finding a way to stay afloat by commercializing this new type of THC. Now consumers are exposed to modern, trendy marketing for products that are beyond misleading.
Sure, it's a great thing to see the hemp industry stay alive during a harsh economic time, but is it that great of an item if the hemp-derived cannabinoids within them were lab created? Is it great that these products are put on shelves for consumers far faster than researchers could possibly study both efficacy and safety?
KushCon Cannabis Convention Provides “Cures” for Many Ills
Written By Natalie Goldberg
In April, the cannabis magnate, KushCon, approached me on social media with hopes that I could spread marketing throughout Tampa. As a Tampa native, I was overjoyed to complete this mission. Then, in June, the stars aligned as my beloved Fat Nugs Magazine invited me to contribute. Ultimately this led to sharing a booth with Vee, The Traveling Cannabis Writer, at the KushCon convention. My cannabis future seemed to be taking shape. I hadn’t stepped foot in the Tampa convention center since being a kid, so I knew I was in for a surprise.
